If you need to create more than 4, you need to change one of them to Extended so that they can contain several Logical partitions.
As to which of the 4 you can convert, you cannot change the 1st partition to Logical as that is your active partition.
It is required to boot your OS.

I could have advise you which of the three but I don't know the current sizes of your partitions.

Thanks Man for this brief Article.
And create another unallocated space as logical.
Thanks you very much.
I realize it is going to take two operations to do this.
First C drive must be resize to 50 gb which creates unallocate to 150 gb.
Then I have to resize E drive to 200 gb by using the 150 gb of the unallocated space.
This opened the following window: That shows that I am using Enhanced Data Protecting Mode.
All I should have to do is change the "Unallocate Space After", which shows as active, however it will not allow me to go from 0.
Hope someone can shed some light on this.
Thanks My System Specs OS Windows 7 Pro CPU Intel R Pentium R Duel CPU E2200 2.
Once you shrink the C down from 200gb to 50gb you then have to move the D partition first before you can even think of expanding the E partition that may also need to be moved forward as well in order to maintain it's integrity.
It will take a little more then one step, two step routine!
First you are giong to making some drastic changes to the drive's layout and will want to Back everything important up!
The "Ultimate" word of caution there in case something goes sideways on you?
The best move would be to first back things up from the C and then shrink that down to where you want it.
Forget about expanding E but replacing it with a brand new partition in the empty space opened up where C was!
Was that so hard now?
With the new let's say G partition your next move would be temporarily backing things up from the present D partition as you copy contents from the E over to it.
Once done you dump the present afterwards you simply move the D towards the back of the drive allowing room to expand the new G out from 150gb to the desired 200gb.

That way we can see your partitions and understand what you want to do.
You can't change the Unallocated space before or after the partition - because there is no unallocated space.
You need to create some first.
Either by adjusting the middle option for partition size - or easier dragging the edge of the partition.
If Your first partition is C, second is D and third is E reading left to right : 1.
Grab hold of the RIGHT edge of the C partition and drag it 150gb to the left.
Click Ok, click Apply.
Click OKclick Apply That will take a while as data has to be moved.
Grab the RIGHT edge and push the E partition all the way to left - over the grey bitthen drag the right edge out as far right as it will go.
Click OK, click Apply.
Again will take a few mins.
If you have 60gb presently on it at the moment oops!
You will then have to remove things there to free up the primary before making any attempt.
One thing you won't be able to do and not while in the Disk Management tool is attempting to shrink the C primary you are running Windows from.
For that you will need a 3rd party drive partitioning tool like GParted or another to avoid the problems typically when trying to resize any partition while running the OS installed on it.
While there are a few "workarounds"?
With multiple drives in use here you can see where the drives were originally split up for the 7 beta builds and later cleaned off for the RCs once XP and Vista were removed.
Those later became recovery partitions when trying out the backup tools now seen in 7 and eventually new images were stored on the additional storage drives now in use.

Partition Wizard will do the job perfectly well, and very simply.
That was simply a caution when planning any resizing of partitions.
You first need to know how much drive space is partition wizard cannot create partition here no free mbr slots />The same will apply for the D and E partitions huffman has on the drive there.
The first thing anyone will advise from the start however is making sure anything important is backed up from the drive itself especially anything unreplacable before making any large changes in case of any mishap.
The advantage of having extra drives here is being able to nuke any one of the 3 OS drives soon to be only 2 at any time or if?

My question is partition wizard cannot create partition here no free mbr slots I used MiniTool Partition Wizard to shrink my C drive, which then created unallocated space.
Normally I can right click the unallocated space and create a new volume, however, I receive an error message that says: 'Partition Wizard cannot create a partition here because there are no free MBR slots'.
I don't know what that means or what to do next.
I asked Sam if he would like me to connect to his system and look at the issue in depth, and he agreed.
Here's what I found: First, I launched Disk Management within Windows and right clicked over top of the unallocated space Sam had created earlier, but received an error stating that: ".
I did a bit of research, and what it boils down to is this: Sam had 4 partitions, and all of them were set as primary - which happens to be the maximum number of primary partitions you are allowed per disk.
This information is then stored in the MBR master boot record of the hard drive.
With that said, most people won't run into this issue because most standard Windows installations will only contain 1 partition wizard cannot create partition here no free mbr slots partition, which is located on the C drive.
However, Sam's computer was from HP and they do things a little differently.
How to Fix: Cannot Create Partition: No Free MBR Slots After a bit more research I discovered that it is technically possible to convert one of the primary partitions into a logical partition, thus abiding by the laws of the master boot record MBR.
However, I advise not going this route, because it will likely break the functionality of the computer down the road.
In Sam's case, the Recovery and HP Tools were both primary; changing either one to logical may break either the factory image restoration or the BIOS recovery - and you would not want to find out that either one of these recoveries doesn't work when you partition wizard cannot create partition here no free mbr slots it the most.
A better way to go about this problem is to work with what is already there.
In Sam's case, the hard drive layout looked like this: System Primary C Drive Primary Unallocated Space Factory Image Primary, Backup HP Tools Primary What I did was use MiniTool Paritition Wizard to merge the Unallocated space which was no slots here cannot create partition free wizard partition mbr taken from the C drive with the Factory Image immediately next to it, and then marked all the files on the Factory Image drive as hidden.
That way, Sam could use the newly repurposed partition for whatever he wanted, and technically this did not break his pre-existing partition schema.
Sam's hard drive layout then looked like this: System Primary C Drive Primary Sam's new partition Primary, Still contains Factory Image, but now larger than previous HP Tools Primary I hope that helps anyone should they encounter a similar issue, especially with HP computers.
A word of warning: always make a disk image backup of your entire hard drive before you go changing around your partitions.
I have used MiniTool Partition Wizard previously and adjusted the C drive geometry, only to have it crash and corrupt Windows, thus making the entire system unbootable.

My question is this: I used MiniTool Partition Wizard to shrink my C drive, which then created unallocated space.
With that said, most people won't run into this issue because most standard Windows installations will only contain 1 primary partition, which is located on the C drive.
In Sam's case, the Recovery and HP Partition wizard cannot create partition here no free mbr slots were both primary; changing either one to logical may break either the factory image restoration or the BIOS recovery - and you would not want to find out that either one of these recoveries doesn't work when you need it the most.
A better way to go about this problem is to work with what is already there.
In Sam's case, the hard drive layout looked like this: System Primary C Drive Primary Unallocated Space Factory Image Primary, Backup HP Tools Primary What I did was use MiniTool Paritition Wizard to merge the Unallocated space which was originally taken from the C drive with the Factory Image immediately next to it, and then marked all the files on the Factory Image drive as hidden.
